Beer Glass

This glass is the little object I reach for most often in my daily life. It has no intricate patterns or exaggerated shapes, yet its clear, transparent glass texture infuses ordinary moments of drinking water with a sense of ritual.

The lines of its body are crisp yet soft, with a slightly tapered rim that fits snugly in the palm, never slipping. The glass is as clear as ice; when filled with water, light refracts through the walls into tiny, shimmering rays, making even the lemon slices inside look extra vibrant. In the morning, I steep a slice of lemon, watching the yellow flesh unfurl in the water, turning plain water into something refreshingly bright. In the afternoon, I brew a cup of flower tea, and watching the petals rise and fall in the transparent vessel alone lifts my mood.
